Dim Sum

This was my final project for CSCI1280: Intermediate Computer Animation with Barb Meier, where students were required to choose a topic of interest and explore it in depth. The main goal of my project was to explore realistically shading food to look appetizing. Modeling, shading, and lighting was done in Maya and rendered with Arnold. Houdini was used for randomly generating geometry for the sesame balls, and cloth simulation was done with nCloth for the soup dumplings.

Missing Cat

This was my final project for CSCI1250: Intro Computer Animation with Barb Meier. I worked with Eddie Jiao, Zack Even, and Zev Izenberg on pre-production (which took place over two months) and production (which took place over one month). Pre-production involved creating a storyline, developing the art direction, and storyboarding. During production, I was in charge of distributing tasks and making sure the production schedule was on track.

I was responsible for modeling, shading, rigging, and animating the main character. I was also responsible for all aspects of the last four scenes (from the empty void room to the final scene in the candle-lit living room). I also created the 2D face animation for the main character, and helped out with modeling and set-dressing for other scenes.
